A Padagogy Wheel (typo intended) created by Allan Carrington offers a useful perspective on how to figure out which iPad apps work with Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy.

Bloom’s Taxonomy of learning domains was created in 1956 in order to promote higher forms of thinking in education. During the 1990s, the taxonomy was updated to reflect relevance to 21st century work. It shows a classification of intellectual behavior which includes creating, evaluating, analyzing, applying, understanding, and remembering. (More information on Bloom’s Taxonomy can be found here.)

Now, Carrington has taken 62 iPad apps that fit into Bloom’s taxonomy.
