Reading Rainbow is an application for both Apple and Android products that makes over 500 hundred fiction and non-fiction books and supplementary videos available to your child or student. New books and videos are added every week so your child will always have a new story to tackle. The app also can provide reading recommendations based on the student’s age (2-9 years old) and personal interests, like animals, family, music, and science. There are two modes of reading available for this app, Read to Me or Read by Myself, so your student or child can have the option of reading along to an audio storyteller or reading the book without the audio aid. Each book comes with interactive animations to keep your child’s interest and help them improve their reading skills. The app is great for both students with a learning disability or students who have a hard time getting an interest in reading.

The app is free to download, and free to try. You can select up to 5 books to try out as well as a sample of educational videos. There is a subscription fee if you choose to continue with the reading app, but you can decide between 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year subscriptions.

Check out the Reading Rainbow’s website here for all of their applications.
