Pierson, Ph.D., CCC-SLP and colleagues Katie Squires, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, and Lauren Katz, Ph.D., CCC-SLP will present at the 2017 IDA Conference in Atlanta on Thursday, November 9 at 10 am. Their presentation covers the Predictive Early Assessment of Reading and Language (PEARL), a new screening tool released for use with preschool children. Using a dynamic assessment approach, the PEARL can be used to predict which students will struggle with phonological awareness skills and subsequently offer earlier intervention to help mitigate reading difficulties in later grades.
