Success Story: Carrie Lofgren

Carrie Lofgren was a member of the national champion U-M varsity women’s rowing team throughout her career at the University of Michigan. At a meeting of the university Regents while a freshman (2011), Lofgren presented her views on the importance of university support services for students with disabilities. She said that next to rowing, support services set U-M apart from other schools on her list. Lofgren, diagnosed with dyslexia, took full advantage of academic support services at U-M provided as part of the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) program, also the parent program for DyslexiaHelp. Carrie Lofgren graduated from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts in 2014.
