Success Story: Carrie Lofgren

Carrie Lofgren was a member of the national champion U-M varsity women’s rowing team throughout her career at the University of Michigan. At a meeting of the university Regents while a freshman (2011), Lofgren presented her views on the importance of university support services for students with disabilities. She said that next to rowing, support services set U-M apart from other schools on her list. Lofgren, diagnosed with dyslexia, took full advantage of academic support services at U-M provided as part of the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) program. Carrie Lofgren graduated from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts in 2014.
