Glenn Harrington achieved something he never imagined he would in high school—he is a published author.

Harrington couldn’t read for much of his life, and chose to enlist in the Air Force rather than graduate high school because he knew he wouldn’t be able to pass his finals.

During his time in the Air Force, Harrington discovered he had a passion for teaching. He was very successful at teaching the other airman about mechanics, and this led him to pursue two degrees in geology as well as a life of teaching.

Harrington, who is also a member of Mensa which put him in the 99.6th percentile for intelligence, learned to work hard to overcome his reading struggles. His incredible journey is documented in his book, Two Lives in One: The Struggles and Triumphs of a Dyslexic Mensa.

His book serves to encourage other dyslexics that they too can be successful if they embrace their dyslexia and work hard.
