Dyslexic writer Jonathan Mooney did not learn to read until he was 12 years old. Despite his early struggles, Mooney went on to graduate from Brown University, where he received an honors degree in English Literature.

Mooney has established himself as one of the foremost leaders in LD/ADHD, disabilities, and alternative education through his activism and published works. Jonathan is also a celebrated speaker on cognitive and physical diversity and has lectured in 43 states and three countries.

Understanding what it’s like to have dyslexia, Mooney founded Project Eye-to-Eye, which is a mentoring and advocacy non-profit organization for students with learning disabilities. Project Eye-to-Eye partners with local communities, public and private schools, universities, and local businesses to pair up adults with learning disabilities and students with learning disabilities in order to ensure that the latter have mentors, role models, and tutors. The Project focuses on empowering individuals with learning disabilities to celebrate their differences.
