In 2016, dyslexic teen Max Ash won the Product Developer of the Year award at the American Business Awards.
Max created his first unique mug in second grade, it featured a basketball hoop to shoot marshmallows into hot chocolate. With the help of his parents, Max pitched his unique creation, gathered support, found a manufacturer and MAX’IS Creations began. He first sold products on smaller online platforms but soon expanded to in-store deals and larger online shopping sites. Now, MAX’IS Creations is a featured small business on Amazon and has sold over 100,000 products.
Max attributes part of his success to his dyslexia and wants to inspire others with dyslexia. He mentors young aspiring entrepreneurs and has donated over $70,000 to various dyslexia charities.
