Born and raised in Massachusetts, Peter Harrower has always had a wild imagination. From a young age, Harrower has thought about the world differently. When he found out he had dyslexia as a child, he thought he was being punished. School was hard; keeping up with his peers was hard; his self-confidence was lacking. At that time in his life, he could only see the negative things that come along with being dyslexic. However, as Harrower grew he found out what he could accomplish despite his learning disability, and he soon realized he could achieve his wildest dreams. One of these was becoming a published author. His recent book, “The World Through My Dyslexic Eyes” is about his battle with his learning ability, depression, and his path to finding purpose. Among others, another goal of Harrower’s is to show other people that despite roadblocks in their life such as dyslexia and other learning disabilities, they can still be successful. He points out everyone has different challenges and different goals, but in the end “anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.”
