Released to the public this month, Success and Dyslexia is a new resource aimed at helping dyslexics manage their disability and take control of their lives. Instead of focusing on reading instruction, this resource aims at teaching adaptive skills that are meant to increase a student’s chances for success later in life.
The book teaches how to overcome self-defeating attitudes and learn to think positively. It also comes with a CD that contains interviews, role plays, useful resources and web links, and handouts for classroom use.
This seems to be an innovative resource that is taking a different tack on helping those with dyslexia succeed. So do you think it’ll be an effective tool? Let us know what you have to say!
