Rossie Stone once was a young student struggling in school due to his dyslexia, trying every technique in the book with no success. Constantly feeling like he was “bad at school,” Stone decided to create his own learning tool using his creative mind. That’s how Dekko Comics came to be—an engaging comic strip that integrates school curriculum into each edition. Stone started using visuals in school for remembering and learning material because it made the daunting task fun, using comics to tell a story that engaged his mind. Now, he is able to share this unique learning tool with other students who are going through the same struggles he did. Dekko Comics was released to the public in September of 2016, receiving rave reviews from students, teachers, and parents alike. The innovative company has also been featured on BBC and given TEDX talks about its mission.
