Pat Lund, a successful TV sports anchor, shares how perseverance and support helped him thrive despite the challenges of dyslexia.
Pat Lund worked as a sports journalist for 30 years at KTTC TV in Rochester, MN. He also attended The Reading Center in Rochester. At a young age, Pat Lund was diagnosed with dyslexia but that did not stop him from achieving his dream of becoming a journalist. Pat Lund passed away in 2022. His family and The Reading Center are honoring his legacy by awarding two student scholarships annually. The scholarships are for up to $1000 a year for four years for each of the two awardees. The scholarship is awarded to two students who have worked hard to not let their dyslexia stop them from achieving their goals, just like how Pat Lund did not let his dyslexia stop him from becoming a journalist.
