She has held various positions including: special educational needs and disability case officer, career adviser, cofounder of the BDA Cultural Perspective Committee and a trustee of a London based Dyslexia Association. Her extensive experience and cultural understanding have allowed her to advocate for dyslexia awareness and increase diversity in research literature and neurodivergent communities. Increased diversity serves to improve the dyslexia community as a whole and help others like her find support she feels she lacked.
