There is an innumerable amount of apps for your smartphone or tablet that are great for improving reading, writing, or math skills if you are dyslexic. However, many of them are for general use and may not be tailored to an individual’s specific needs.

Now, thanks to the Assistive Technology for Autism Spectrum Disorders website (AT4ASD.org), there is a list of evidence-based apps that meet certain criteria to help each individual with their learning disability depending on its severity.

The criteria for the apps included on the list include adherence to “foundational principles of evidence-based intervention practices” and “the ability to be individualized to meet each individuals’ specific needs.” Many of these apps have researched in the past to meet these criteria.
