The new podcast Sold A Story, hosted by Emily Hanford, an education correspondent, explores schools’ failures to teach children how to read. She discusses the key players and promoters of the false reading strategies that became commonplace in schools. Hanford also draws attention to the lasting consequences of this failure including the harm done to children who never learned to read properly.
